Day 1:
Morning arrival in South Africa, your guide will meet you upon arrival at Johannesburg’s O R Tambo International Airport. Visit Soweto - reflex on the “Apartheid” era of South Africa’s history. Enjoy lunch, before checking-in at our charming little lodge near the airport. Dinner will be served at the lodge.

Day 2:
Travel via Middelburg and Lydenburg to Hazyview situated in the province of Mpumalanga, exploring en route the scenic wonders of the Panorama Route. The cylindrical potholes at Bourke’s Luck, scenic views from God’s Window and breathtaking Blyde River Canyon - third deepest in the world rivaling America’s Grand Canyon. Overnight in Hazyview.

Day 3:
Depart for the world-renowned Kruger National Park (KNP). Enter the park through Orpen Gate. The KNP is known to be the most diverse park in the world with 140 mammals, 119 reptiles, ± 506 bird, 55 amphibians and ± 1980 plant species. Dinner can be enjoyed at the camps restaurant. Overnight in the KNP.

Day 4:
Enjoy a full day in the KNP in search of the “Big 5” and a host of other animals. Travel to the southern section of the KNP. Dinner will be served as a traditional “braai” - barbeque, prepared by your guide. Overnight in the park.
Accommodation: Lower Sabie Camp or Bergendal *** (B & D)

Other activities: Evening or sunset game drive with the parks ranger.

Day 5, 6, 7 & 8
Early morning departure. Drive the shortest route via Swaziland to Sodwana Bay. Enjoy the next couple of days diving various reefs in the warm Indian Ocean off the KwaZulu Natal North Coast. This packages includes 5 x dives, air fills or an Open Water Diving Course or an Advance Diving Course (upgrades are available on request). Overnight in Sodwana Bay.

Day 9:
After a leisurely morning (dive) and breakfast, we travel to Bonamanzi Private Game Reserve near Hluhluwe. Lunch on route. This afternoon you have an included option of joining the ranger on a game walk. Dinner will be served at the camp’s restaurant. Overnight at Bonamanzi.

Day 10:
Take a cruise (10h00) on the St Lucia estuary, a lake riddled with crocodiles and hippos in the Greater St Lucia Wetlands, which is a world heritage site. Then enjoy some lunch at one of the numerous restaurants in the little fishing village of St Lucia, before we drive to the Hluhluwe / Umfolozi Game Reserve for an exciting open vehicle safari. In by-gone years this reserve was the hunting grounds of Zulu Kings. Dinner will be served at the camp’s restaurant. Overnight at Bonamanzi.

Day 11:
Drive back to Johannesburg the commercial hub of South Africa. Lunch on route and there will also be time for last minute shopping before your departure. Drop-off at O R Tambo International in time for you to catch your evening flight home.

Recommended - Cape Town Add-on Tour: Travel to Johannesburg, catch your flight to Cape Town. Your guide will meet you on arrival in Cape Town to transfer you to your hotel. Dinner can be enjoyed at one of the numerous excellent restaurants on the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront. Accommodation: V & A City Lodge *** or President Hotel **** or Commodore Hotel ***** (-) Day 12: Take a scenic drive around the Cape of Good Hope. Visit Hout Bay and the Cape Fur Seal colony on Duiker Island, Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, Cape Point and the Boulders - Penguins. Have lunch in Simonstown. Optional and weather permitting - we take the cableway up Table Mountain. Evening at leisure. Overnight in Cape Town. Accommodation: V & A City Lodge *** or President Hotel **** or Commodore Hotel ***** (B) Day 13: A day at leisure, where you can do the following optional activities - a city orientation tour of South Africa’s beautiful Mother City on the “hop-on hop-off bus” or visit a local township or visit Robben Island where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for 17 years or visit to Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens or visit one of the numerous beautiful beaches around the Cape or for the energetic - take a hike up Table Mountain or for the brave - shark cage diving. Evening at leisure. Overnight in Cape Town. Accommodation: V & A City Lodge *** or President Hotel **** or Commodore Hotel ***** (B) Day 14: Wine tasting and cellar tour at one of the wine estates along the Cape’s world-renowned Stellenbosch Wine Route, also spend some time in the picturesque towns of Stellenbosch and Franschhoek. Enjoy your farewell dinner at Vijff Vlieghen (Five Flies) Restaurant. Overnight in Cape Town. Accommodation: V & A City Lodge *** or President Hotel **** or Commodore Hotel ***** (B & D) Day 15: Morning at leisure. There will be time for last minute shopping and lunch at the V & A Waterfront, weather permitting an optional helicopter flip over the Cape Peninsula. Transfer to Cape Town International Airport for your flight home.
